Lasagna Roll-Ups

A Cozy Twist on a Classic Favorite

Lasagna just got a delicious makeover! These Lasagna Roll-Ups bring all the flavor and comfort of the traditional dish but in perfectly portioned, easy-to-serve rolls. Each one is packed with creamy ricotta, melted mozzarella, and savory meat sauce — rolled up, baked to golden perfection, and ready to impress at any fall gathering.

Cook Time: 1 hour 5 minutes
Serves: 12

Ingredients

Cheese Filling

  • 15 oz. ricotta cheese

  • 1 large egg

  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese

  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese, freshly grated

  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano

  • ½ teaspoon each: salt, dried basil, dried parsley

  • ¼ teaspoon pepper

Meat Sauce

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 small yellow onion, diced

  • ½ lb. ground beef

  • ½ lb. ground Italian sausage (hot or mild)

  • 3 cloves garlic

  • 32 oz. marinara sauce

Lasagna

  • 12 lasagna noodles, plus extras in case of breakage

  • 1½ cups mozzarella cheese (for topping)

Method

  1. Boil the lasagna noodles until al dente. Drain, rinse with cold water, and lay them flat on parchment or wax paper.

  2. In a bowl, mix the ricotta, mozzarella, egg, Parmesan, and seasonings.

  3. Sauté onion and garlic in olive oil. Add ground beef and sausage, cook until browned, then stir in marinara sauce.

  4. Spread the cheese mixture evenly on each noodle, top with a spoonful of meat sauce, and roll them up.

  5. Place rolls seam-side down in a greased 9x13" casserole dish. Cover with remaining meat sauce and shredded mozzarella.

  6. Bake covered at 375°F for 35 minutes. Uncover and broil at 450°F for 5 minutes, until bubbly and golden.

Serve with garlic bread and a crisp Caesar salad.
