Strawberry Wonton Cream Cheese Bites
A Sweet, Crispy Treat with a Cheesecake Twist
Fall may bring pumpkins and apples but sometimes, a burst of strawberry sweetness is just what the season needs.
These Strawberry Cream Cheese Wonton Bites combine the creamy richness of cheesecake with the light, golden crunch of fried wontons.
Serve them as a dessert after dinner or as a fun party snack for family gatherings and football weekends.
Ingredients
½ cup sugar
1 package cream cheese
1 large egg
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
30 (2-inch) square wonton wrappers
6 large fresh strawberries, diced
1½ cups sugar (divided)
3 teaspoons cinnamon
3 tablespoons water
Oil for frying
Directions
Make the Filling: In a bowl, beat cream cheese, ½ cup sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth. Fold in diced strawberries mixed with 3 tablespoons sugar.
Assemble: Lay out wonton wrappers. Brush edges lightly with egg wash (1 egg + 3 tbsp water). Spoon about 2 teaspoons of filling in the center, then fold and seal the edges firmly.
Fry: Heat oil to 375°F. Fry wontons in small batches until golden brown, turning once. Drain on paper towels.
Finish: Toss warm wontons in cinnamon sugar. Drizzle lightly with caramel sauce if desired.
Golden, crispy, and irresistibly creamy—these sweet little bites taste like strawberry cheesecake in a pocket of sunshine.
