NEW BUSINESS SPOTLIGHT

Chick-fil-A coming to Bay City

Chick-fil-A Coming To Bangor Township

Big news is buzzing in Bangor Township—Chick-fil-A is officially bringing its first restaurant to the Bay City area in early 2026.

Construction is set to begin soon near the former Kmart store at Euclid Avenue and Wilder Road, with doors expected to open in about six months, pending any delays. While the franchisee behind the new location has not yet been announced, the restaurant is projected to create 80 to 120 new jobs for the community.

This marks the third Chick-fil-A in Mid-Michigan, following successful openings in Flint Township (September 2023) and Saginaw Township (February 2025). Known for its customer service and signature chicken sandwiches, Chick-fil-A continues its rapid Michigan expansion, with plans for 25 to 30 additional locations statewide by 2030.

For Bay City residents, the arrival means more than just waffle fries and chicken nuggets—it’s a sign of growth and opportunity. The new restaurant is expected to become a busy gathering spot for families, commuters, and college students alike.
